Holiday Gong Bath with Dreamtime Sound Healing at the Lotus Spokane (December 5, 3pm)
Sunday, December 5
The December 5th holiday gong bath is the last event Dreamtime Sound Healing until February, 2022. Do you have healing and relief on your holiday wish list? This is a pure HEAVY METAL gong sound bath session where we can showcase these beauties and light them up in full gong glory. We typically don't excite the gongs to this level in our normal DreamTime sound journey sessions as it is an acquired taste, and craving that eventually does build up through coming regularly. The more folks come the more they crave those BIG vibrations. The gongs have the power to vibrate the air in the room as well as the folks soaking in it. Hence, the Gong "Bath".
More on how gong healing works:
It affects the physical nervous system, not just hearing it through the ears, but the sensation of feeling it on the skin. Sound travels and the body picks up sound. Sometimes it’s called a gong bath. It’s a cleansing process for the subconscious mind. It’s effortless; that’s why a lot of people like it.
It’s a combination of overtones and undertones and they make new undertones and overtones, so there’s a branching out of sound. The logical, analytical part of the brain can’t figure it out. It allows for that part of the mind to completely disengage and a person to connect to their spiritual self. That’s what the gong is really good at, helping people to bridge from physical to meditative states.
The times when the sound is more intense, louder or a quicker pace, that pressure releases the nervous system of diseases and fears and any other emotional blocks. It brings forth a force that helps people release. The sound resonates and old thought forms and ways of being can be cleansed out of the energy system.
The gong heals the parasympathetic nervous system -- the resting, digesting nervous system, which typical modern day people don’t nurture much. They’re always in fight or flight. It trains their nervous system to easily be able to get back into the space of peace.
What do you need to do in this session?
Lay down or sit. That is all. Get as comfortable as possible, the journey is internal. You will need to bring your own blankets, pillows, eye covers, and a mat pad (camping pads are the best) if you have one. Really what ever you would like to be comfortable laying on a cold hard wood floor for an hour and a half. We will also have some chairs if you choose to do the meditation upright or you are welcome to bring a camp chair or lounger chair.
